# thestory.run

> thestory.run is a web app that coaches employees to write their own LinkedIn
> posts. An AI coach asks questions, helps find the story inside a rough
> thought, and hands over a structure to write into. It never writes or
> rewrites the post. Built by Swat.io GmbH in Vienna, Austria. The app runs at

The product name is always written lowercase and in full: thestory.run. Never
"The Story", never "TheStory", never "The Story Run". The name is the domain.

## What it is

- Category: a writing coach for corporate influencers, that is, employees who
  post under their own name on LinkedIn. Founders, salespeople, recruiters,
  engineers and experts, and the companies that want a whole team posting
  rather than one brand account.
- The rule that defines the product: the coach never writes and never rewrites
  a post. It asks one question at a time, underlines the strong lines the
  writer already wrote, and offers a narrative arc. The published text is
  written by the human.
- The one exception, called cheat-mode: a writer can deliberately spend one of
  a small monthly allowance to have the coach write a whole post. The allowance
  scales with their posting plan, one cheat per four planned posts, never more
  than three a month. The post is marked permanently as coach-written, does not
  count toward their progress, and is grounded in what they brought plus a voice
  sample of their own published posts.

- What it is NOT: not an employee advocacy platform that distributes
  pre-written posts for staff to reshare. Not an AI ghostwriter or a post
  generator. It is a separate product from Swat.io, the social media management
  tool built by the same company.
- Privacy invariant: drafts, ideas, coach conversations and personal plans are
  never visible to teammates, admins or managers, and this is enforced in the
  data layer rather than hidden in the interface. Teams see coordination only:
  topic, channel, planned date, and wins a person chose to share.
- Publishing: a finished post can be published to the author's own LinkedIn
  profile from the app, on the author's instruction, or copied out and posted
  by hand. Nothing is ever published automatically.
- Pricing: free forever for teams of five people or fewer, with no credit card
  and no trial clock. From the sixth person, 1 euro per coaching session plus tax,
  billed monthly on what was used. Sessions bought up front, any number, cost
  10% less and never expire. People, channels and features are never charged
  for. Prices are net; VAT is handled at checkout.
- Data and AI: your writing is never used to train a model. The coach's model
  calls run on Anthropic's Claude via Amazon Bedrock under an EU inference
  profile, and the app, its database and its email run in AWS Frankfurt
  (eu-central-1). Passwordless sign-in by magic link; SAML 2.0 single sign-on
  for organisations.
